At Lux Truck Moving, your privacy is a cornerstone of our premium service. This policy outlines how we protect your personal and inventory data during complex international relocations.
-
1. Logistics & Transit
Data To facilitate international relocation, we collect precise geolocation data of collection and delivery points, including floor numbers and access constraints. This data is shared with our operational teams and vetted sub-contractors solely for the purpose of executing the physical transfer of goods.
-
2. Customs & Regulatory Documentation
For UK-EU border crossings, we are legally required to process sensitive data including Passport copies, Transfer of Residence (ToR1) numbers, and detailed Inventory Manifests. This information is transmitted securely to relevant Customs & Excise authorities (HMRC, French Douane, etc.) to ensure legal compliance with T1 transit protocols.
-
3. Inventory Protection & Underwriting

-
4. Third-Party Port & Ferry Processing
Vehicle and manifest data, which may contain your name and delivery reference, are shared with port operators and ferry lines (e.g., Eurotunnel, P&O, DFDS) to secure transit slots and satisfy maritime security regulations.
-
5. Data Retention for Shipping Records
Commercial shipping records, including signed Waybills and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, are retained for a period of 7 years as required by international tax and commercial laws.
-
